- Revolut and Trust Wallet let EEA users buy crypto directly to self custody wallets.
- Users can purchase Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, USDC, and USDT with zero fee options.
- Revolut integration supports multiple fiat currencies and ensures compliance with MiCA rules.
Revolut and Trust Wallet have launched a partnership enabling European users to buy cryptocurrencies directly into self-custody wallets. The integration combines Revolut’s payment infrastructure with Trust Wallet’s non-custodial architecture.
Users can purchase crypto assets instantly and send them directly to their wallets, bypassing traditional custodial accounts. Some purchases are offered with zero fees, though blockchain gas fees still apply.
Supported Cryptocurrencies and Payment Options
The first one integrates Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, USD Coin, and Tether. The Trust Wallet application enables users to buy crypto via Revolut Pay, bank transfers, or card payment in Trust Wallet and send it directly to self-custody wallets. Daily limits, as well as per-transaction, are between 10 euros and 23,000 euros. The integration will add additional cryptocurrencies as time goes by.
Regulatory Approval and MiCA Compliance
Recently, Revolut was granted a Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) license enabling it to operate in 30 EEA markets under EU laws. The license guarantees that purchases made in cryptocurrencies are not against the European financial regulations. This integration connects Revolut’s fiat-to-crypto infrastructure with Trust Wallet’s self-custody system.
Users can access cryptocurrencies while maintaining full control over their assets. Multiple fiat currencies, including the euro, British pound, and several central European currencies, are supported. Moreover, Revolut also launched Bitcoin Lightning Network payments for its users in the UK and selected European markets.
Benefits and Market Context
The integration provides faster onboarding and fee-efficient crypto purchases. Revolut–Trust Wallet transactions can be zero-fee, but adding money to Revolut accounts may involve standard charges. Cash deposits, for example, carry a 1.5% fee and a $3,000 monthly limit. This partnership follows Revolut’s recent private share sale, which valued the company at $75 billion.
Trust Wallet, backed by Binance founder Changpeng Zhao, has been expanding into prediction markets and real-world asset tokenization. Just recently, Trust Wallet Token jumped 40% after CZ praised the token’s expanding utility. The integration enhances access for self-custody users while connecting them to Europe’s largest neobank.
