Ethereum Developer Meeting ACDC#172: Glamsterdam Progresses Steadily, Hegota Upgrade Proposal Launched
PANews, January 9th – According to the minutes of the 172nd Ethereum consensus layer developer meeting by ACDC, developers discussed the upcoming Glamsterdam upgrade and the next phase Hegota upgrade. Among them, EIP-8070 "Sparse Blob Pool" has been included as a candidate feature for Glamsterdam, and the second Fusaka hard fork, which is limited to blob parameters, has been successfully launched on the mainnet, increasing blob transaction block space by 40%.
In addition, the proposal window for Hegota upgrade features is now open, with a deadline of February 5th. Related proposals must be published on Ethereum Magicians and introduced during developer meetings. The meeting also covered topics such as ePBS testing challenges, consensus layer censorship resistance mechanism suggestions, and EIP governance process optimization.
