Swiss Consumer Price Index for December 2025
December 2025 Consumer Price Index Report
In December 2025, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) held steady at 106.9 points, using December 2020 as the base (100). Compared to December of the previous year, inflation registered a slight increase of 0.1%. For the entire year of 2025, the average inflation rate stood at 0.2%, according to data released by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
The unchanged index from the previous month reflects a balance between rising and falling prices in different sectors. Notably, costs for international package holidays, pharmaceuticals, and various vegetables declined. On the other hand, prices for hotel stays and additional accommodation services saw an uptick, offsetting the decreases in other categories.
