Brazilian presidential candidate calls for establishment of national Bitcoin reserves
According to Odaily, Brazilian presidential candidate and founder of the Missão (Mission Party), Renan Santos, recently stated on a podcast that Brazil should consider establishing a national bitcoin reserve, and said that this proposal is "feasible in reality." He pointed out that some countries have already begun exploring similar approaches, and Brazil could also gradually build a bitcoin reserve system.
Renan Santos stated that his campaign platform already includes content related to bitcoin, and he believes that blockchain technology can be used as a tool for the public sector to enhance transparency and combat corruption. Previously, the Brazilian Congress held a public hearing on the topic of strategic bitcoin reserves, with related discussions initiated by pro-crypto legislators. The Brazilian presidential election will be held in October this year. (DL News)
