Nvidia launches the automotive platform Alpamayo, with the new Rubin platform set to debut this year
Foresight News: According to Golden Ten Data, Nvidia unveiled its automotive platform named Alpamayo at the CES 2026 exhibition. CEO Jensen Huang stated that this platform enables vehicles to perform "reasoning" in the real world. Potential users can adopt the Alpamayo model and retrain it themselves. The free service aims to create vehicles capable of handling unexpected situations on their own, such as traffic light malfunctions. The onboard computer analyzes input from cameras and other sensors, breaks it down into a series of steps, and comes up with solutions.
In addition, its new Rubin data center product will be launched later this year, allowing customers to try out the technology. All six Rubin chips have been delivered by manufacturing partners and have passed several key tests, indicating that customer deployment is progressing as planned. The newly launched Rubin accelerator offers 3.5 times the training performance of the previous generation Blackwell and runs AI software five times faster. Systems based on Rubin will have lower operating costs compared to those based on Blackwell.
