South Korea's BC Card partners with Base to promote a domestic USDC payment pilot
According to Odaily, South Korean payment infrastructure provider BC Card has announced a partnership with Base. The two parties will jointly promote a local payment pilot in South Korea based on the US dollar stablecoin USDC. They plan to integrate a Base chain wallet from a certain exchange with BC Card's QR payment system to test the process of using USDC for payments at Korean merchants, with final settlement in Korean won, in order to assess compliance, interoperability, and practical feasibility.
