Five VC Leaders Share Their Outlook on Crypto Investment in 2026: Less Hype, Greater Maturity
Foresight News reported, according to DL News, that five VC leaders shared their views on crypto investment trends for 2026, reaching a consensus that "hype will decrease and maturity will increase."
Hoolie Tejwani, Head of Ventures at a certain exchange, stated, "Perpetual contracts have become the most widely used financial product in the crypto space. They have existed for many years, carrying massive trading volumes and continuing to function normally even when the market is in turmoil. 2026 will be more about industry maturity rather than hype." Mike Giampapa, General Partner at Galaxy Ventures, said, "It is expected that the adoption of stablecoins and other tokenized assets will continue to accelerate in 2026, forming a long-term growth trend over the next ten to twenty years. The US government is likely to continue supporting the global export of US dollar-pegged stablecoins." Francesca Conti, Head of Acceleration and Incubation at CV Labs, commented, "As companies such as a certain exchange obtain three licenses from Abu Dhabi Global Market in the UAE, we believe that the increasingly clear regulatory environment in other jurisdictions signals positive developments in the new year." Jeff Ren, Founder of Ventures at a certain exchange, stated, "In 2026, smart money in the crypto space will flow into areas where technology can interoperate with traditional finance. We will see more projects exploring product-market fit around risks that people are already concerned about." Petr Martynov, Head of Growth at Morningstar Ventures, said, "I expect to see a real wave of consumer-grade crypto applications, especially in the DeFi sector. Secondly, the boundaries between traditional finance and DeFi will quickly blur."
