Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin criticized Microsoft's Windows operating system in a post on X. He stated that he once bought a new computer intending to install a Linux system, but when he tried to boot Windows, he found that the entire process required an internet connection and interaction with Microsoft servers; otherwise, it could not be completed. He described this as "dystopian."
