According to records from the United States Federal Bureau of Prisons, former Alameda Research co-CEO Caroline Ellison is scheduled to be released on January 21, 2026, approximately 10 months earlier than her original sentence. Ellison’s sentence was reduced due to good behavior and cooperation during the FTX investigation. She was sentenced in September 2024 to two years in prison and ordered to forfeit $11 billion, and agreed to a 10-year ban prohibiting her from serving as an executive at a public company or cryptocurrency exchange. Meanwhile, FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried is seeking a presidential pardon in the United States and is expected to be released in September 2044.
