Zcash privacy network sees significant increase in mainnet activity, with daily average transactions surging over 1300% compared to pre-price rally levels
BlockBeats News, November 17, the privacy network Zcash (ZEC) has recently seen a significant increase in the number of transactions on its mainnet, with network activity picking up. In the past 24 hours, there have been 44,505 transactions, representing a surge of over 1300% compared to the average daily transaction count of around 3,000 before the ZEC token price started to rise in early October.
On November 13, the number of Zcash mainnet transactions reached a recent peak of 73,862. The average daily transaction count in October was about 10,000. In addition, in the past 24 hours, the Zcash mainnet transaction volume reached 1,679,199 ZEC, equivalent to approximately 1.17 billions USD.
According to market data from a certain exchange, ZEC is currently quoted at 716 USD, with a 24-hour increase of 1.62%. When well-known Silicon Valley angel investor Naval stated on October 1 that "ZCash is insurance against bitcoin," ZEC was about 75 USD.
