The Bank of France urges the EU to directly regulate cryptocurrency companies
Jinse Finance reported that France is urging the EU's top market regulator to immediately begin overseeing major cryptocurrency companies after key players have expanded on the European continent. François Villeroy de Galhau, Governor of the Bank of France, suggested in a speech on Thursday that regulatory authority over the industry's operations should be transferred to the European Securities and Markets Authority to ensure the uniform application of standards across the EU.
