Tether to launch US-compliant stablecoin USAT, Bo Hines appointed as USAT CEO
Foresight News reported that Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino announced the company will launch a US-regulated, dollar-backed stablecoin called USAT, and has appointed former White House Crypto Council Executive Director Bo Hines as CEO of USAT. Tether stated that USAT will be designed in accordance with the recently enacted US GENIUS Act, and as a US-regulated stablecoin, aims to provide businesses and institutions with a digital alternative to cash and traditional payment methods.
