Solana community votes to approve new consensus protocol Alpenglow proposal SIMD-0326
Foresight News reported that the Solana community has passed the new consensus protocol Alpenglow proposal SIMD-0326 through a vote. The voting results show that 98.27% voted in favor, 1.05% voted against, and 0.69% abstained, with a total of 52% of the staked amount participating in the vote.
Alpenglow aims to reduce the block finality time from 12.8 seconds to approximately 150 ms.
