Probability of a Fed Rate Cut in September Drops to 71.5%
According to ChainCatcher, CME "FedWatch" data shows there is a 28.5% probability that the Federal Reserve will keep interest rates unchanged in September, and a 71.5% probability of a 25 basis point rate cut.
Previously, it was reported that initial jobless claims in the US for the week ending August 16 reached 235,000, compared to the expected 225,000 and the previous figure of 224,000.
