Hines stated that he will step down and return to the private sector, expressing gratitude to the cryptocurrency community for their "unwavering" support. On Saturday, he wrote: "It has been the honor of my life to serve in President Trump's administration and to work alongside our outstanding AI and crypto 'czar' David Sacks as Executive Director of the White House Crypto Committee. Together, we have worked to make the United States the global capital of cryptocurrency."
