Zuckerberg: META to Invest Hundreds of Billions of Dollars in Artificial Intelligence
ChainCatcher reports that, according to Jintou Data, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg stated that META will invest hundreds of billions of dollars in the field of artificial intelligence. SemiAnalysis has just analyzed that Meta is likely to become the first lab to launch a 1GW+ supercluster.
Zuckerberg also mentioned that Meta Superintelligence Labs will possess industry-leading computing power and will be the lab with the highest per-researcher computing capacity to date. He further revealed that Meta is actually building several multi-GW clusters, with the first one named Prometheus, which is scheduled to go online in 2026. Meta is also constructing Hyperion, which will be able to scale up to 5GW within a few years.
