Data: US Continuing Jobless Claims Rise to Highest Level Since November 2021

Last week, initial jobless claims fell from 237,000 to 233,000, retreating from a nine-month high. Continuing jobless claims reached 1.964 million, the highest level since November 2021. The so-called Deep Tristate region (Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland) led the increase in continuing claims, reaching the highest level since December 2021. (Jin10)
