Beijing: Plans to Support Enterprises in Future Digital Space Innovation Pilot Zones with Convenient Access to the International Internet, Promoting Cross-Border Data Flows and Innovation Going Global
Foresight News reports that, in order to implement the construction plan for Beijing as an international center for scientific and technological innovation and to focus on the development of digital economy-related industries such as science fiction, the metaverse, gaming, esports, and virtual reality, the "Several Measures to Support the Construction of Beijing Future Digital Space Innovation Pilot Zone (Draft for Public Comment)" has recently been released for public feedback. The draft proposes supporting cross-border data flows and the "export of culture." It encourages enterprises to participate in the development of international rules and standard certification systems related to cross-border data, enhance the capabilities of cross-border data service centers, support enterprises in convenient access to the international internet, and promote the safe, orderly, and efficient cross-border flow of data. The initiative also aims to drive the overseas expansion of future data spaces, develop a number of cultural export projects, accelerate the cultivation of internationally competitive cultural technology enterprises, and facilitate the overseas expansion of enterprises, products, and services.
