Morgan Stanley: Microsoft Is Well-Positioned for the Upcoming Generative AI Innovation Cycle
According to a report by Jinse Finance, Morgan Stanley analysts Keith Weiss and Josh Baer stated in a research note that Microsoft’s investment in OpenAI is proving successful. Citing growth in Microsoft’s direct monetization and an increased share of IT spending, the analysts raised their target price to $530. The report notes that as Microsoft makes progress in its Azure AI business, it is well positioned for the upcoming generative AI innovation cycle. The report also points out that, due to Microsoft’s disciplined approach to spending, it is expected to achieve a mid-single-digit compound annual growth rate.
