Trump Trade Advisor: Media is Creating Tariff Fear, Fear Will Disappear Once Agreement is Reached
BlockBeats reported on April 30 that Trump's trade advisor Navarro fiercely criticized the media in a recent interview, accusing them of using "intimidation tactics" to create more fear among the public as President Trump implements his trade agenda. Navarro stated, "It usually takes a long time to reach an agreement—about 18 months. But we will do it in 'Trump time,' which means doing it in normal time. The American public has a short memory, and all the pain the media is causing them now, along with all the intimidation tactics, will disappear with the first agreement reached."
Navarro predicted that the United States might first reach trade agreements with the UK, India, or South Korea, and once these issues are resolved, the public will see the effectiveness of Trump's trade strategy. "Once we start reaching a series of agreements, people will begin to understand that the strategy Trump is taking is absolutely correct, and the world needs to stop messing with us." (Jin10)
