Warren Buffett has now nearly swallowed 5% of the entire U.S. Treasury market by securing $300.87 billion in short-term Treasuries through Berkshire Hathaway. This is according to data disclosed in the company's latest financial reports. This large amount of Treasuries gives Buffett control of 4.89% of the entire U.S. Treasury market. As of the end of March 2025, the total U.S. Treasury market is valued at $6.15 trillion, meaning that for every 20 dollars of debt circulating in the market, 1 dollar belongs to him. Currently, Buffett's holdings in U.S. Treasuries even exceed the Federal Reserve, which as of now holds slightly more than $195 billion in Treasuries.
