SEC Delays Consideration of Grayscale Spot Ether ETFs to Add Pledge Feature
April 14 - The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has decided to extend its review of a proposed rule change filed by NYSE Arca. The proposal proposes to allow Grayscale Ethereum Trust ETFs and Mini Trust ETFs to pledge holdings of Ether. The rule was initially made available for public comment on 3 March and no comments have been received to date.The SEC has extended the review deadline from the original 17 April to 1 June 2025 in order to fully assess the proposal and related issues.
