The three major U.S. stock indices all opened lower, with the Dow Jones down 1.69%, the Nasdaq down 2.84%, and the S&P 500 index down 2.11%. Tech stocks and chip stocks fell across the board, with Micron Technology and AMD falling more than 6%, while Apple, Nvidia, and Tesla fell over 4%.
