Ethereum researcher proposes EIP-7922 to enhance the flexibility and efficiency of Ethereum's exit queue
Ethereum researcher mikeneuder.eth has proposed EIP-7922, aimed at enhancing the flexibility and efficiency of Ethereum validator exit queues while ensuring system security. It is reported that currently, Ethereum uses a fixed exit limit for each epoch (about 16 exits), which can ensure economic security (controlling the number of exits to prevent a decline in security). However, when there is a surge in demand for exits, validators have to wait for an extended period, increasing liquidity risk and capital costs. EIP-7922 proposes dynamically adjusting the number of exits based on recent actual exit situations instead of having a fixed limit. The proposal is currently in draft stage.
