NVIDIA launches the universal basic model for robots, GR00T N1
At the NVIDIA GTC 2025 conference early this morning, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang announced the launch of GR00T N1, which is the world's first open-source humanoid robot functional model.
NVIDIA also launched Simulation Frameworks to accelerate robot development. Huang also mentioned the huge potential in the yet untapped robotics market. According to Huang, NVIDIA, DeepMind and Disney are collaborating on a robotic platform named Newton.
