Putin and Trump to speak on 18th, Russia reveals more preparations
Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said on 17 March local time that preparations are underway for a telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump on the subject of the agenda, with the main topic being mediation on Ukraine. Responding to a question from a reporter about the length of preparation for the call, Peskov said that preparations for similar phone talks can be completed in a short period of time. Earlier in the day Peskov said Putin and Trump would speak on the phone on 18 March. Trump also said on the evening of 16 local time that he planned to speak with Putin on the 18th.
