The Chicago Mercantile Exchange will launch a new Bitcoin futures product, Bitcoin Friday futures, on September 30th
BlockBeats reports that on August 27, according to an official announcement, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) will launch Bitcoin Friday futures (BFF) on September 30, 2024, providing a precise and flexible way of trading Bitcoin.
Each BFF contract represents 1/50 of a bitcoin, ensuring capital efficiency and accessibility. These shorter-term contracts expire at 4 p.m. every Friday (Eastern Time in the U.S.) and are settled based on the CME CF Bitcoin Reference Rate New York variant, which may be closer to the spot price of Bitcoin.
