Jupiter Releases Ecosystem Token API and Standards, Proposes to Deprecate Old API by End of August
Jupiter has released its Ecosystem Token API and Standards on the X platform. The new API enhances trading functionality by instantly displaying tokens from new markets, which are verified daily, entered into a trusted list, and subjected to rigorous testing by Jupiter's community and users, and is said to be built on top of the Metropolis infrastructure. Jupiter says it will identify fake tokens masquerading as names and symbols of popular tokens and remove them from the API, as well as banning certain tokens based on reports from the community, and that the symbols of header ecosystem tokens are protected and will be improved over time to keep the community safe. Jupiter says it will be deprecating the old API in the month leading up to the end of August 2024, and that the new API response will be broadly similar to the old one, so hopefully it will be an easy migration.
