PANews reported on June 12, according to CNBC, Elon Musk withdrew his lawsuit against OpenAI and its two co-founders Sam Altman and Greg Brockman in a California court on Tuesday. In February of this year, Musk sued OpenAI, Altman, and Brockman for breach of contract and fiduciary duty. A hearing is scheduled for Wednesday in San Francisco where the judge will consider whether to dismiss the case at the defendants' request. In March of this year, experts told CNBC that there were legal issues with the case because the core contract of the lawsuit was not a formal written agreement signed by all relevant parties. Musk claimed that early OpenAI team developed Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) for "the benefit of humanity", but it has now turned into a profit-making entity controlled by Microsoft as its major shareholder.
