Open Interest in Ethereum Futures Contracts Across the Network Approaches $16 Billion, Setting a New All-Time High

PANews reported on May 23 that, according to Coinglass data, the total open interest in Ethereum futures contracts across the network has risen to 4.22 million ETH (approximately $15.95 billion), marking a 3.51% increase over the past 24 hours. This sets a new all-time high in USD terms (though it is still short of the 2022 peak of 5 million ETH in ETH terms). Among these, Binance leads with 1.59 million ETH (approximately $6.02 billion) in open interest for Ethereum contracts, ranking first. Bybit follows with 880,000 ETH (approximately $3.33 billion) in open interest for Ethereum contracts, ranking second.
