Opinion: Runes may continue to increase Bitcoin transaction fees
Golden Finance reported that IntoTheBlock pointed out in a market report on Friday that one of the main reasons why the market is looking forward to Runes is the impact that its main developer Casey Rodarmor has already had on Bitcoin through the previous launch of Ordinals. Since the emergence of Ordinals, Bitcoin transaction volume has hit all-time highs multiple times, with the majority of transactions sending less than $1 worth of Bitcoin to cover fees. Overall, Ordinals have pushed Bitcoin fees close to all-time highs, and Runes may continue to increase Bitcoin transaction fees.
