Celo has approved the use of USDT to pay for Gas fees. The passed governance proposal indicates that this feature will simplify the user's transaction experience, and users only need to hold USDT stablecoin in their wallet to use Celo network for value transfer. As previously reported by Golden Finance, Celo proposed allowing the use of USDC as a Gas token.
