Prometheum: Digital asset securities traded on the platform and not registered with the SEC are not protected by SIPC
Prometheum has added a disclaimer on its website stating that digital asset securities traded through Prometheum ATS Inc. (i.e. investment contracts that have not been registered with the US SEC under the Securities Act of 1933) will not be protected by the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC). It is reported that SIPC is a non-profit, member-funded US government corporation authorized by the federal government.
