Ethereum Successfully Implements Dencun Upgrade on Holesky Testnet, Eyes March Mainnet Launch
Ethereum's core developers have successfully implemented the Dencun upgrade on the Holesky testnet, marking a significant step towards the final phase of the testnet's enhancement before its mainnet deployment next month. The upgrade includes the integration of features from Cancun and Deneb, with the most prominent feature being Proto-danksharding (EIP-4844), which introduces "blobs" to facilitate the temporary storage and retrieval of off-chain data. The successful launch of the upgrade on the Ethereum mainnet would address scalability issues and potentially lead to innovations within the blockchain ecosystem. The ETH price has reacted positively to the upgrade, recording a 2.46% increase.
