The on-chain transaction volume of Bitcoin in January broke through 1.2 trillion US dollars, setting a record high since September 2022
According to data from The Block, in January 2024, $1.21 trillion worth of Bitcoin was transferred on-chain, marking the highest monthly transaction volume since September 2022 (when the price of Bitcoin was approximately $20,000). This figure is also more than three times that of September 2023. The data also shows that apart from December, the monthly transaction volume of Bitcoin did not exceed $1 trillion in any other month in 2023. Following a mere $550 billion transaction volume in September 2023, January 2024 marked the fourth consecutive month of growth in Bitcoin's on-chain transaction volume.
