The Solana blockchain network experienced an unprecedented surge of new tokens this month, far surpassing any previous records. According to Solscan data, an astonishing 72,202 new tokens were minted using the SPL token standard on Solana in just the past two weeks, which is over 71 times the number of tokens created in the same period in October.
