Circle obtains financial services license in Abu Dhabi Global Market
Jinse Finance reported, according to the official blog, that stablecoin issuer Circle has announced it has obtained a Financial Services Permission (FSP) from the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Abu Dhabi Global Market, allowing it to operate as a money services provider in the Abu Dhabi International Financial Centre (IFC). In addition, Circle has appointed Dr. Saeeda Jaffar as Managing Director for Circle Middle East and Africa. Jaffar will leave Visa to join Circle, where she served as Senior Vice President and Group Country Manager for the Gulf Cooperation Council. She will lead Circle's regional strategy, deepen cooperation with financial institutions and enterprises, and drive the accelerated adoption of the company's digital dollar and on-chain payment solutions in the UAE and the broader Middle East and Africa markets.
