AI data company WisdomAI has secured an additional $50 million in funding, with Kleiner and Nvidia leading the round

WisdomAI, an AI-powered data analytics company founded by Rubrik co-founder Soham Mazumdar, has secured a new $50 million Series A investment. This round was led by Kleiner Perkins, with additional backing from NVentures, Nvidia’s venture capital division.  

This latest funding comes about half a year after the company revealed a $23 million seed round headed by Coatue. 

WisdomAI delivers AI-based analytics that can respond to business queries using structured, unstructured, and even messy data—data that may contain mistakes or hasn’t been cleaned. Users can pose questions in plain language, such as, “How many customers are currently in my pipeline, and what obstacles are stopping them from closing this quarter?”  

The company has developed an innovative approach to avoid hallucinations from large language models (LLMs). Rather than generating answers directly with LLMs, WisdomAI uses them solely to create queries that fetch data from warehouses. If the LLM makes an error, it results in a poor query, not fabricated information.

WisdomAI has built its own system, referred to as the “enterprise context layer,” which analyzes and interprets customer data. All the co-founders previously worked with Mazumdar at Rubrik, a data security firm, and bring significant expertise in enterprise data storage. (Mazumdar departed Rubrik in 2023.)

Since its official debut in late 2024, WisdomAI has expanded its client base from just two enterprise customers to approximately 40, according to CEO Mazumdar. The company’s clients include names like Descope, ConocoPhillips, Cisco, and Patreon. 

Mazumdar also noted that usage among existing enterprise clients is rising rapidly. Some organizations have doubled their usage in just two months, and one client grew from 10 users to 450—nearly the entire company, he said.  

Over the past six months, WisdomAI has introduced an agentic capability that notifies users instantly about significant developments in the areas they are tracking. 

“I’ve built an agent that monitors our product usage statistics and ticket data,” Mazumdar shared, mentioning it took him only about five minutes to set up. Instead of receiving daily or hourly updates on usage and support tickets, he gets notified only “when something noteworthy occurs,” he explained.

“That’s what makes analytics special, in my view. Traditionally, it’s been about static reports, but we’re turning it into something dynamic and proactive,” he added.
