According to a report by Jinse Finance, former St. Louis Fed President James Bullard commented on the possibility of succeeding as Federal Reserve Chair: "I spoke with Secretary Bessent last week. I am happy to act in accordance with Secretary Bessent's wishes. If the Fed's goal is stable and lower inflation, and the independence of the Federal Reserve is respected, I am willing to accept the position of Fed Chair."
