Metaplanet Raises $515 Million Through New Share Issuance
Odaily Planet Daily reported that Japanese listed company Metaplanet has announced the successful issuance of 54 million shares through the exercise of its 20th stock subscription rights, raising 74.9 billion yen (approximately $515 million) in equity capital to purchase additional Bitcoin. This issuance accounts for 29% of the company’s warrants, with about 1.31 million warrants (approximately 131 million shares) remaining to be exercised. Previously, Metaplanet planned to issue a total of 555 million new shares (representing 92% of its outstanding shares), aiming to raise $5.4 billion for Bitcoin acquisitions. (The Block)
