U.S. Tariff Revenue Exceeds $17 Billion in April
According to a report by Jinse Finance, on May 3rd local time, Yahoo Finance reported that the Trump administration in the United States collected over $17.4 billion in "tariffs and certain excise taxes" in April. The report states that this is almost double the $9.6 billion revenue in March and far exceeds any revenue during Trump's first term. Since January 1st, these tariffs have injected over $70 billion into the government. Trump previously stated on a program that with billions of dollars in tariff revenue pouring in, the United States is "just getting started." (Jin10)
