Pantera Capital bets $20 million on TON, adds giant investment to Layer1 track

On December 3rd, Pantera Capital, a well-known hedge fund and venture capital firm in the cryptocurrency field, officially invested in the Toncoin (TON) ecosystem. According to the disclosure documents of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Pantera Capital raised a total of $20 million through two independent funds, which attracted at least 29 investors to participate, with a minimum investment threshold of $250,000.

 

The fundraising activity began in June, and the official sales of the two funds were launched in July respectively. This is another major layout of Pantera Capital after announcing its support for Telegram's associated cryptocurrency in May, further reflecting its long-term optimism about the TON ecosystem. Although Pantera stated that this is one of the "largest" projects in its 21-year investment history, it did not disclose the specific amount.

The investment from Pantera Capital not only enhances TON's industry position, but also provides strong support for the further development of its ecosystem.
