Bitwise CIO: Bitcoin to See Steady Gains Over Next Decade, But Unlikely to Repeat Astounding Returns
BlockBeats News, December 28th, according to Cointelegraph, Bitwise Chief Investment Officer Matt Hougan stated that Bitcoin may offer a relatively steady return over the next decade, but is unlikely to see parabolic price increases.
Hougan said on a CNBC show: "I think we're in a 10-year slowly upward-drifting bull market, strong returns but not the extreme returns, rather a strong, lower-volatility return with bumps along the way."
He also reiterated his previous prediction that 2026 would be a big year for Bitcoin. This forecast was made as early as July this year when Bitcoin hit an all-time high of $125,100 in October. Hougan stated that the "rapidly moving retail cohort" was one of the reasons for Bitcoin's year-end downturn, with some retail investors choosing to rotate early and take profits due to their "expectation of the four-year cycle."
