Lighter will reallocate Sybil account points and eliminate the dual token/equity structure
Show original
On December 28, Lighter founder and CEO Vladimir Novakovski stated in a community Space that points from Sybil accounts will be redistributed to eligible traders. The anti-cheating algorithm uses data science and clustering methods to identify Sybil accounts and includes an appeal mechanism, allowing users to appeal via a built-in Discord form. The details of the algorithm will not be disclosed to prevent targeted optimization. Lighter is confident in the accuracy of the results, but if there are misjudgments, users can appeal. In addition, the large amount of tokens transferred to trading platforms is unrelated to the airdrop and is intended for safekeeping investor and team allocation shares. In the future, the dual token/equity structure will be eliminated, with the goal of accumulating value into the token.
