Lighter founder: We will not disclose the anti-sybil algorithm, we are confident in our screening results
According to Odaily, Lighter founder and CEO Vladimir Novakovski responded to questions about Sybil screening during a Twitter Space interview with jez (@izebel_eth) today, stating: "We have an appeal mechanism for Sybil screening, but so far, the number of appeals has been lower than we expected. If users feel the algorithm is unfair to them, they are welcome to fill out the appeal form on Discord. We will not disclose the specific algorithm details, as we do not want it to be specifically optimized against."
"Overall, this is a task that involves a significant amount of data science, including cluster analysis, behavioral pattern recognition, and more. Our quantitative team (whose daily work involves liquidity and market maker coordination) also spent several weeks participating in this process. In addition, we have communicated with some protocol teams and individual Sybil hunters who have done similar work. We are confident in the final results, but if there are indeed misjudgments, please be sure to appeal."
