Foresight News reported, citing CoinDesk, that the perpetual contract trading platform Drift on Solana has launched Drift v3. According to Drift, the backend has been rebuilt, enabling the new version to achieve 10 times faster trade execution speed, marking the project's largest performance improvement to date. The Drift team stated that version v3 will reduce the execution time of approximately 85% of market orders to under half a second, and liquidity will also be enhanced, thereby reducing slippage for large trades to around 0.02%. Tools such as take-profit and stop-loss orders will also be updated more quickly, with oracle price refresh times matching this speed. Additionally, gas fees will continue to be automatically deducted, so users do not need to handle transaction costs during trading. Besides the speed improvements, Drift will also introduce a brand-new user interface, including a more streamlined portfolio page, clearer account display, and a simpler lending section.

Next, Drift will address issues such as auto-signing, simplifying the deposit process, isolated margin, and ultimately launching a mobile application. The team is also testing a new liquidity provider pool called Drift, aiming to make it easier for users to provide liquidity to spot and perpetual trading markets while earning returns.
