Maelstrom co-founder: Pantera's early-stage token fund invested four years ago has nearly halved, while many seed round projects in the same period have surged 20-75 times.
ChainCatcher news, Akshat Vaidya, co-founder and Chief Investment Officer of Arthur Hayes' family office Maelstrom, posted on X stating, "I invested $100,000 in the Pantera Early-Stage Token Fund LP four years ago, and now only $56,000 remains, because Pantera charges a 3% management fee and a 30% performance fee. Over these four years, bitcoin has doubled, and many seed round projects have surged 20-75 times. However, the fees charged by this fund have almost wiped out half of the LP's capital. Although the year of investment is important, losing 50% in any cycle is truly the worst performance."
