Ondo Global Markets brings US stock tokenization to the BNB Chain.
- US stock tokenization arrives on BNB Chain.
- Expansion targets Asia and Latin America.
- BNB Chain grows in real-world assets.
Ondo Finance, a platform specializing in DeFi and tokenization of real-world assets, announced the expansion of Ondo Global Markets to the BNB Chain. This will allow international investors to access US equities through tokenized securities with fully on-chain settlement and custody, operating 24 hours a day without market interruptions.
The solution was initially launched in September on the Ethereum blockchain and already has over 100 tokenized stocks and ETFs available. The company reported that the total value locked (TVL) exceeded US$350 million in just a few weeks, while the total trading volume surpassed US$669 million, demonstrating strong adoption of the tokenization model in the cryptocurrency sector.
"BNB Chain is home to one of the largest and most engaged global user bases on Web3."
"Nathan Allman, CEO of Ondo Finance, stated. He added that the expansion will allow them to take advantage of this."
"Tokenized US stocks and ETFs to millions of users in Asia, Latin America, and other regions, in a fast, economical, and highly interoperable environment."
Updated data indicates that Ondo Finance currently holds nearly US$1,8 billion in TVL, maintaining a prominent position in the tokenization segment. The platform's growth is occurring alongside new strategic moves, including the recent acquisition of the regulated US brokerage Oasis Pro and the blockchain developer Strangelove.
The company has also been leading initiatives related to the adoption of tokenized RWAs (Real World Assets). Earlier this year, Ondo Finance entered into a collaboration with World Liberty Financial, backed by current US President Donald Trump, to explore the use of these assets as treasury reserve instruments.
The expansion into BNB Chain was celebrated by the ecosystem. “Real-world assets are one of the fastest-growing segments on BNB Chain, and Ondo Finance joining our ecosystem is yet another strong validation of that momentum,” stated Sarah Song, Head of Business Development at BNB Chain.
Furthermore, Ondo Finance has been closely monitoring relevant regulatory discussions. The company recently questioned Nasdaq's proposal for listing tokenized shares, highlighting that more information is still needed on how the settlement process would occur.
The move to expand the reach of Ondo Global Markets reinforces global interest in traditional financial products integrated into the blockchain environment, especially in emerging markets seeking new ways to access the US capital market.
