Bank of Ghana: Plans to Complete Cryptocurrency Asset Regulatory Legislation by the End of the Year
Jinse Finance reported that Johnson Asiama, Governor of the Central Bank of Ghana, stated that the country is expected to pass a regulatory bill on cryptocurrency and virtual assets by the end of December. The regulatory framework has already been drafted, and the relevant bill is currently being submitted to parliament for review. Asiama pointed out during an International Monetary Fund meeting in Washington that Ghana must accelerate the pace of regulating and monitoring crypto transactions to ensure the security and transparency of the financial system.
