Bitget LaunchX to feature WalletConnect and list on Spot Trading

Victoria, Seychelles, 14 February 2025 – Bitget, the leading cryptocurrency exchange and Web3 company, has announced the listing of WalletConnect on Bitget LaunchX and Spot Trading. WalletConnect is building a global, on-chain mobile network and advancing this vision with the WalletConnect Phone, a crypto-native mobile device starting at $99. With Bitget LaunchX, WalletConnect will be distributing 20,000,000 WalletCollect Tokens (WCT) at 0.2 USDT each, with a target to raise $4 million. WCT will be available for trading in early April 2025. Further details will be released in due time.

The WalletConnect Network has long been the essential bridge connecting wallets, apps, and users, boasting more than 35 million users globally, facilitating over 20 million monthly Web3 wallet connections for 5 million monthly users. With this distributed hardware infrastructure, the next phase of WalletConnect will involve the next generation of DePIN use cases, including satellite connectivity.

The second season of the WCT token will see them continue their transition to a permissionless structure governed by the community. WCT will serve multiple functions, including enabling network governance, rewarding participants, and supporting staking mechanisms.
